Results TH Fleetwood
Thistle Hill Fleetwood - Mac - started his Show Jumping career in February 2007 at the Stanthorpe Show were he came 3rd in the 1.10m class and got his first EFA point. He also came 2nd in the 1m class and 2nd in the Six Bar dropping out at 1.45m! 3 months later in Bundaberg he went from D Grade to C grade with a win in the D Grade Competition and now with 19 EFA points. He finished the 2007 season off at Tully by winning the C and D Grade Competition with a total of 35 EFA points for the year.
Mac came back home on August 6th 2007 to his paddock supposedly for a 2 week break before heading off down south with Robert Goodwin but with the outbreak of Equine Influenza and the lock down of all horses and a Nation wide ban on all horse movements, which commenced on August 25th, meant he would have about 6 months off, which I’m sure he didnt mind.
Mac had to get back into the swing of things over the mild summer and was brought back into work in mid December 2007. His first show for the 2008 season was the Australia Day Championships at Toowoomba on Australia Day, here he had a 2nd and a 4th.
Mac went B Grade on March 1st 2008 by coming 2nd in the 1.20m class at the EFAQ Championships at Ipswich.
He’s now finding he has to work a little harder only being 15.1hh but he seems to be enjoying Power and Speed and Mini Prix events with a win at the Roma Show and the only horse to have 2 double clear rounds in the Open Power and Speed and a 2nd in the Mackay Show A and B Grade AM2 followed by another win in the A and B Grade Power and Speed at the Townsville Show. Ayr Show was also a turning Point for Mac with a 6th place in his first Grand Prix.
