Poppy. A Lovely Show Jumping mare by Vivant out of On Cloud Nine. Only 5 yo (11-11-2003) 15.3hh.

“Sire Vivant, Dam On Cloud Nine by Skyhigh (IMP Hanoverian) Ex Winnebago mare, Like a Charm. This represents a double cross of the Hanoverian legend Ferdinand. Skyhigh - Grand Prix Showjumper, World Cup winners and World Cup final representatives. Winnebago - Hanoverian imported to New Zealand - the sire of Bago, Mark Todds Olympic Showjumper, amongst others.

Poppy is a very attractive dapple brown filly working well under saddle with very good jumping manners. She will make a perfect Junior or small adult mount for jumping and showing. She is a genetic goldmine as a broodmare.

Skyhigh - sire of World Cup Winners Skyhigh II, Jaybee Shultz, Heza Skyhawk, OT Flying High - who also represented at the World Cup Finals.

- sire of FEI level Dressage horses - Cultured Pearl, Flying High I, Skyway.

- sire of A Grade Showjumpers and exported horses - The Ace, Skydancer, Skywalker, High Star, High Jinx, Celebrity Park Starlight, etc., etc.

Poppy’s Grand Dam Like a Charm was a medium level dressage mare under Gill Rickard before an accident put her into the broodmare paddock.

Poppy’s dam On Cloud Nine - competed in Elementary/Medium level Dressage with an amateur rider until her early teens. Gill then bred a foal from her by Voodoo who we sold overseas as a 3 year old, this filly showed very good jumping ability. Poppy was her next foal. During her time with us we used her (On Cloud Nine) as a school horse for both jumping and dressage, she has a wonderful temperament and was the perfect school master for all levels of ability and confidence.

This is a family we know very well and can highly recommend for temperament and ride-ability.”
